Breathe Simply is a helpful tool designed to promote intentional breathing. The app features a minimalistic interface centered around a timer that tracks the breathing cycle, encompassing inhalation, holding, and exhalation. Users have the option to personalize their experience by selecting a background photo and can also access the history of previous breathing sessions.
Ancient wisdom and modern scientific research both emphasize the significance of focusing on one's breath as an effective method to reduce stress and anxiety while enhancing overall well-being.
Upon launching the app, users can either utilize the default settings or customize the duration for inhalation, holding, and exhalation in seconds, along with choosing the number of cycles to perform. A new feature in Version 2.0 offers the possibility of adding an extra hold phase between exhalation and inhalation. Sound levels can be adjusted using the volume buttons on the device. Once configurations are finalized, simply click on the Start button to begin, after which the settings options will be hidden. Users can comfortably follow the marker around the circle on screen or opt to rely on voice prompts guiding their breathing while setting aside the device.
